With trust in institutions at an all time low and vaccines and mask wearing becoming even more partisan, will we ever see our way out of this pandemic? With both major political parties captured by big Pharma and the healthcare industry, how can we forge a pathway to Medicare for All? Could the proposed measure for single payer in California be a catalyst for the rest of the Nation? We’ll ask these questions and more.
Victoria Dooley, MD
Dr. Victoria Dooley, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who trained at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is tenacious in her pursuit of helping families of all ages, from toddlers through geriatrics, attain health in all areas of life-mind, body and spirit. As a practicing Family Medicine physician, she has expertise in numerous areas of medicine and performs several procedures, including skin procedures, stitches, splints, etc. in her office. Dr. Dooley's dynamic personality and commanding stage presence make her sought after as an on-air health expert on numerous live radio and TV broadcasts. For over two years, she was a weekly contributing medical expert on ABC WXYZ-TV news. She also displays her passion for health education in print. She has published op-eds in The New York Times, Huffington Post, and many other publications.

Jacqueline Luqman is co-host of By Any Means Necessary on Radio Sputnik, a daily show that analyzes current political and social events through an anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, radical Black internationalist tradition and lens. She is also a contributor to The Real News Network, Editor-In-Chief of the social media program Coffee, Current Events & Politics in Luqman Nation with her husband Abdushshahid, and a contributor to Black Power Media. She has more than 20 years of activism in Washington, DC focusing on participating in and supporting community-level issues as well as regional and national that impact working-class, poor, and oppressed people in the US and abroad. She is a member of the Black Alliance for Peace, Pan-African Community Action, is a supporter of several other grassroots radical Black-focused and led organizations, and is an active member of the Board of Social Action in Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, a progressive church in Washington, DC.

With a culture war heating up in an election year, the ideological battle over hot button topics like Critical Race Theory, the 1619 Project, and reparations intensifies, there remains one historical fact that is constantly glossed over or just outright ignored on both sides of the battle. The complicated history of Native American enslavement. A complex narrative that spans beyond the American South, where the plantation economy had a stronghold on the institution of enslavement, Native Americans were bought and sold throughout the Americas, Spain and even parts of Africa. In this upcoming episode we’ll take a deep dive into the forgotten history of Native American enslavement.

Keith Pluymers is an expert on early modern history & environmental history, professor of history at Illinois State University, and author.
Hayley Negrin
Hayley Negrin specializes in Native American history, slavery, and the history of women and gender in the Atlantic World. Her current book project investigates the transformation of Indigenous kinship ties and politics under English chattel slavery in early North America.

Ramsey Orta filmed the killing of Eric Garner in New York City on July 17, 2014. His video spurred protests and debate over city police procedures. However, Orta was subsequently subject to a campaign of police harassment and imprisoned. He was released in 2020.

Only 5 months ago the ascendancy of Pedro Castillo from primary school teacher to president of Peru was seen as a victory for the poor and working class and a sign of a new rising Pink Tide in Latin America. Less than a year in office Castillo is facing challenges from the far-right opposition party calling for his impeachment, as well turmoil from within Castillo’s own Peru Libre socialist party that until the last minute was in support of Castillo’s ouster from office.
Peru, a country that has seen 4 presidents in the last 3 years has a long sordid history of corrupt leaders and congressional governments. In less than six months Castillo’s approval rating has dropped to its lowest point yet at a mere 25%. However, while many are unhappy with the young administration of Castillo, there is still a large contingent that want to see Castillo make good on his campaign promises and avoid giving power to what the majority of Peruvian citizens feel is a far more corrupt congress.
Will the reign of Pedro Castillo end like his predecessors in scandal and impeachment? Is the far right and oligarchic class too powerful for Castillo and the Peru Libre socialist party of overcome? Is there validity in Castillo’s claims that his poor lower-class campesino background is the impetus for his attempted ouster? We’ll ask these questions and more. This is Revolution.

Howard Beale (Peter Finch) is a news anchor who gets fired for low ratings and realizes his life is meaningless. His mental state and on-air ranting is exploited by the News Corporation including Diana played by Faye Dunaway.

Dr. Elise Herrala contributions have acclaimed recognition from honorable subject experts around the world. Dr. Elise Herrala is actively associated with different societies and academies. Dr. Elise Herrala academic career is decorated with several reputed awards and funding. Dr. Elise Herrala research interests include Sociology, art history, and cultural studies. She is the author of Art of Transition: The Field of Art in Post-Soviet Russia.

It is Independence Day! Haitian Independence Day of course! Pascal talks to Paul Mocombe about the Haitian Revolution, its origins, its development, and its legacy.
Paul C. Mocombe is a Haitian philosopher and sociologist. A former Visiting Professor of Philosophy and Sociology at Bethune Cookman University, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Sociology at West Virginia State University, and the President/CEO of The Mocombeian Foundation, Inc., he is interested in the application of his theories of phenomenological structuralism and consciousness field theory to contemporary issues such as the constitution of consciousness, race, class, and capitalism (globalization).
Dr. Mocombe, who for ten years argued for the newly found fifth force of nature, which he posits is associated with consciousness in the multiverse, is the author of, among many others, The Theory of Phenomenological Structuralism; Haitian Epistemology; Identity and Ideology in Haiti; Jesus and the Streets; Race and Class Distinctions Within Black Communities; Language, Literacy, and Pedagogy in Postindustrial Societies; A labor Approach to the Development of the Self or Modern Personality: The Case of Public Education, Education in Globalization; Mocombe’s Reading Room Series; and The Mocombeian Strategy: The Reason for, and Answer to Black Failure in Capitalist Education.
Dr. Mocombe currently lives in Lauderhill, Florida with his wife, Tiara S. Mocombe.
